Job Summary
Cyber Security Watch Officer on the DISA GSM-O II program supporting the DJOC Network Assurance team. Responsibilities include triage of events, cyber incident handling, network analysis and threat detection, trend analysis, and delivering daily situational awareness and operational updates to DISA leadership. Responsible for reporting DCO/incidents, maintaining awareness of directives and messages, overseeing network defense operations, coordinating with internal DISA elements and mission partners, and producing timely, action-oriented technical recommendations. Requires BA degree, active TS/SCI, DoD-8140 WRC 511 Intermediate cert, and CND experience; shift-based, 24x7 operations with day/ swing/night hours. Strong written/verbal communication and ability to work as part of a team to develop solutions under pressure.
Required Qualifications
- BA degree
- 2+ years of experience
- Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
- DoD-8140 WRC 511 Intermediate certification
- CND experience (Protect, Detect, Respond and Sustain) within a Computer Incident Response organization
- Experience working in a 24x7 environment
- Ability to independently analyze security events and deliver recommendations
- Willingness to perform shift work (Swing-shift 1pm-11pm)
