Job Summary
Cyber Security Senior Advisor focusing on Adversary Simulation and Purple Team engagements. Design and lead complex offensive security assessments to test attack detection and prevention effectiveness, with emphasis on detection telemetry improvement and adversary emulation across kill chains. Collaborate with Incident Response, Threat Hunt, Threat Intelligence, and Security Engineering to drive improved security outcomes. Proficient in scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and programming (C/C++, C#); able to develop and tune detection logic (KQL, Sigma, SPL, YARA) and produce clear reports. Mentors junior team members and communicates complex technical details succinctly to diverse audiences. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field with 13–15 years of hands-on security experience; certifications such as OSCP/OSCE/OSEP/GXPN/CRTO are relevant. Familiar with MITRE ATT&CK, threat modeling, red/blue/purple team concepts, and agile environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
- Equivalent experience may be considered
- 13 - 15 years of combined experience in offensive security, red team, blue team, or purple team roles
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and familiarity with programming languages (C/C++, C#)
- Experience building or tuning detection logic (KQL, Sigma, SPL, YARA)
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to mentor and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Experience with MITRE ATT&CK or custom threat models
- Experience leading complex technical assessments and Purple Team engagements
- Knowledge of attack vectors, threat intelligence, threat hunting, and incident response
