Job Summary
Cyber Security Engineer role within Visa's cyber security team focusing on designing, building, and operating large-scale cloud-native security platforms, integrating GenAI capabilities for autonomous security workflows, and leading security engineering initiatives across multi-cloud environments; responsibilities include cloud security controls, automation, policy-as-code, and leadership in design and implementation across AWS/Azure/GCP with a hybrid work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python (preferred) or Go
- Expert-level certification in at least one major cloud platform
- Hands-on experience migrating applications to the cloud and implementing cloud-native security controls at scale
- GenAI, Automation & Engineering skills
- Experience with IaC, automation, and GitOps workflows
- Policy-as-code and guardrail enforcement
- Ability to independently drive POCs and deliver end-to-end implementations
- Understanding of threat management, vulnerability management, and CSPM
