Job Summary
Cyber Security Engineer sought for the ESS program with emphasis on cybersecurity for DoD space/ground systems. Responsibilities include performing systems engineering activities in cybersecurity and RMF A&A per DoDI 8510.01, performing cryptographic System Security Engineering (SSE) per NSA requirements, defining security requirements and architecture for embedded and large-scale distributed systems, applying risk management to mitigate vulnerabilities, interfacing with Space Force customers and contractors to translate requirements down to components, supporting cybersecurity integration of space and ground networks, participating in verification and validation of cybersecurity requirements, planning RMF activities, and contributing to the Program Protection Plan and CPI/CC identification, as well as assisting in Cybersecurity Strategies and milestone approvals. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, 5+ years in related engineering/cybersecurity areas, and US citizenship with ability to obtain a DOD Secret security clearance. Master’s degree and additional certifications are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, IA/Cybersecurity, or computer science
- 5+ years of work experience in System Engineering Architecture/Design
- 5+ years of work experience in Information Assurance (IA)/Cyber Security
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD secret security clearance (US citizenship)
