Job Summary
Lead security investigations and coordinate incident response activities, performing triage, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident reviews. Analyze endpoint, server, and network logs to identify vulnerabilities and known attacks, cross-referencing findings against the MITRE framework and threat hunting techniques. Execute vulnerability scans, remediate risks through internal analysis and collaboration with external partners, and contribute to ongoing improvements in detection capabilities and protection strategies. Manage cyber security risks, support assurance reviews, and champion risk mitigation across the Technology department while liaising with external organizations to analyze security trends.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience working within an in-house cyber security or SOC environment, including leading and coordinating security investigations
- Proven experience in incident response leadership, including triage, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident review
- Proficiency with security tooling, analytics tuning and reporting (e.g. Microsoft Sentinel SIEM, endpoint XDR, cloud & network) and confidence in writing SIEM queries
- Experience in endpoint and network-based security detection, prevention and investigations
- An interest in threat intelligence and knowledge of threat hunting techniques
- Demonstrable experience of working with information and cyber security standards and frameworks (such as ISO 27001, CAF and MITRE ATT&CK)
- Experience of writing policies, procedures and user guidance for practical use
