Job Summary
Monitor system health, data feeds, and threat intelligence platforms while detecting and analyzing network anomalies as Events of Interest. Perform real-time security monitoring, abuse email analysis, and incident response for specific customers, ensuring compliance with organizational standards. Coordinate with L2/L3 teams and the Duty Manager for high-priority incidents, delivering reports through data collection and summarization. Serve as the primary SOC contact for opened cases while conducting research on latest security issues. Requires 24x7x365 shifts with fluency in Greek and English.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Information Security, ICT, Networking or any other relevant field
- Fluency both in Greek and English languages, oral and written
- Knowledge of Linux / Unix / Windows systems
- Solid background in Networking and associated protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, OSI model etc.)
- Solid background in Information Security (Security standards and practices, Security technologies, Security Monitoring, Penetration Testing, Incident Response, Threat landscape etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- The role mandates to work ethically, with high degree of integrity, confidentiality and appropriate use of information
- Very good organizational and time management skills
- Good communication skills and a customer-oriented approach
- Ability to work efficiently both within a team and independently
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience as a security analyst
- Hands-on experience with SIEM - IBM QRadar
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Security+, Netowrk+, CySA+)
- Understanding or knowledge of software programming with scripting languages
