Job Summary
Monitor and analyze security alerts and events from detection systems to identify threats and anomalies. Perform initial triage, classification, and severity assessment of alerts while evaluating potential business impact. Investigate security incidents using defined playbooks, collect technical information, and escalate complex cases to the Rapid Response team. Collaborate with cross-functional groups and on-site IT support to facilitate containment and remediation actions. Maintain accurate documentation of incidents and investigations to ensure traceability. Contribute to security operations improvement by providing feedback on alerts and ensuring effective handovers. Fluent English is required; a degree in Computer Science or Cyber Security is preferred. The minimum gross annual salary in Italy is €31,000.
Required Qualifications
- First experience in IT, IT security, or a SOC environment
- strong interest in cyber security, threat analysis, and incident response
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a comparable field
- equivalent practical experience
- Basic understanding of common cyber attack techniques, threats, and indicators of compromise
- Familiarity with enterprise IT environments (networks, operating systems, cloud)
- Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM or endpoint protection solutions
- Ability to analyze logs and security events
- Fluent English
