Cyber Risk Assessor - Assistant Manager

Job Summary
Conduct risk assessments, control reviews, and security evaluations to analyze cyber risk data, identify control weaknesses, and support remediation recommendations. Apply security frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001 using structured methodologies to deliver consistent, high-quality outputs with a focus on data quality and accuracy. Engage stakeholders to chase inputs and ensure timely responses while managing assigned tasks independently within a global or distributed team environment. Utilize Microsoft 365 tools including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Copilot for reporting and documentation. Work hours are 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM IST / 4:30 AM – 1:00 PM EST. Prior KPMG or Big 4 experience is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience performing risk assessments, control reviews, or security evaluations
- Ability to analyse cyber risk data, identify control weaknesses, and support remediation recommendations
- Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and their practical application
- Experience working with risk data, assessment tools, and reporting platforms
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on data quality, accuracy, and completeness
- Ability to follow structured methodologies and deliver consistent, high-quality outputs
- Solid background in Information Security (e.g., risk management, GRC, security operations, or architecture)
- Good stakeholder engagement skills, including chasing inputs, following up, and ensuring timely responses
- Proactive and organised, able to manage assigned tasks independently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English, particularly for reporting and documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Copilot)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a global or distributed team environment is advantageous
- Prior KPMG or Big 4 experience is a plus
