Job Summary
Cyber R&D Engineer IV serving as a technical lead to maintain and advance CI/CD pipelines with security, compliance, and observability across the software development lifecycle. Bridges development, security, and operations to enable secure and reliable delivery of mission-critical cyber R&D capabilities through automation and secure-by-design practices. Responsibilities include maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD; integrating security tools (static/dynamic analysis, vulnerability scanning); implementing automated testing frameworks (unit, integration, and user acceptance testing); collaborating with development teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities; ensuring continuous regulatory compliance; monitoring pipeline performance, availability, and security posture; establishing DevSecOps standards and documentation; mentoring engineers on secure development and automation; and operating software in cloud environments such as AWS and Kubernetes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
- 8–10+ years of experience in DevSecOps, software engineering, security engineering, or related roles
- Experience operating CI/CD pipelines in secure environments
- Experience in classified or highly regulated environments
- C/C++/Python and reverse engineering and penetration testing experience
- DoD Manual 8140.03 baseline certification
- Active TOP SECRET/SCI clearance with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph
