Job Summary
Cyber Engineer Intern responsible for offensive and defensive research on hardware and software systems, reverse engineering of binaries, protocols and formats, design and development of software applications, and documenting technical research results; requires pursuing a degree in CS/CE/EE, proficiency in C, Python, and x86/x64 assembly, knowledge of Windows/Linux APIs, experience with IDA Pro and Wireshark, and U.S. citizenship for a security clearance; Syracuse, NY internship with mentorship and potential full-time opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- Experience with hardware and software reverse engineering
- Proficient in C, Python, and x86/x64 assembly
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux System API and ABI
- Understanding of static and dynamic software analysis tools and techniques
- Experience with reverse engineering tools, such as IDA Pro and Wireshark
- Experience with reverse engineering RF communication systems and protocols
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good organization, decision making, and communication skills
- High level of self-initiative and self-motivation with the ability to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to work effectively in small team settings to solve complex problems
- Proof of citizenship will be required as part of the hiring process
