Job Summary
Cyber Engineer Intern executes offensive and defensive research on hardware and software systems, performs system security analysis to identify vulnerabilities, reverse engineers binaries, protocols, and formats, and contributes to design and development of software applications. Documents and communicates technical research results to technical and non-technical audiences. The role requires pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering and experience with hardware/software reverse engineering. Key skills include proficiency in C, Python, and x86/x64 assembly; knowledge of Windows and Linux System API/ABI; experience with analysis tools and reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro and Wireshark; experience with RF communication systems and protocols; strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities; ability to work in a small team with minimal supervision. The position offers pay of $30-$40 per hour and requires U.S. citizenship due to security-clearance requirements. IC R offers an internship program with mentorship and potential for full-time opportunities after graduation.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- Experience with hardware and software reverse engineering

- Understanding of static and dynamic software analysis tools and techniques
- Experience with reverse engineering tools, such as IDA Pro and Wireshark

- High level of self-initiative and self-motivation with the ability to work under minimal supervision
