Cyber Claims Counsel

Job Summary
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to chart the best course for resolving cyber incidents, while evaluating coverage for claims and drafting coverage letters. Build strong relationships across the company to act as a trusted advisor for underwriting and risk function regarding claims trends, and foster feedback loops with underwriting and security teams to improve products and automated UW engines. Cultivate relationships with brokers and insureds to deliver exceptional service, evaluate and manage exposure for cyber incidents and third-party litigation, and develop strategies for handling such claims. Report on significant claims to management and proactively set reserves, focusing on continuous improvement for the claims perspective in connection with UW and security feedback.
Required Qualifications
- Claims adjusting background and/or insurance practice experience as an attorney or a paralegal
- Legal degree required
- 3-5 years' experience handling complex first and third party cyber, tech, and media claims
