Job Summary
Conduct system engineering and functional design for weapon systems, focusing on payload integration, launch interlocks, simulation, message exchanges, user interfaces, and cybersecurity. Ensure technical specifications and standards are accurate and delivered to support customer review, system development, and testing within a cross-functional team. Manage requirements derived from external sources and utilize system modeling tools to maintain alignment with technical standards. This role supports GDMS's mission to enable operations across all domains through research-oriented work with award-winning teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Master's degree, plus 6 months of relevant experience
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- B.S or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering degree from an accredited engineering school
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical topics at different levels of abstraction
- Demonstrated knowledge of systems engineering concepts
- Experience developing system design and writing technical requirements including requirements derived from external sources (e.g., electrical interface specifications)
- Experience working in an integrated cross functional team
- Experience using DOORS or system modeling tools
