Job Summary
Conduct fabrication shop inspections and perform testing for thermite welds, moment connections, and structural steel buildings in Boise, ID, adhering to approved codes and standards. Prepare accurate daily reports detailing work done and conclusions while professionally interfacing with customers to address issues. Operate outdoors in construction environments, including heights and inclement weather, with a commitment to safety and physical mobility for lifting, reaching, and climbing. Available for on-call projects throughout the US to support top infrastructure initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- CWI certification
- UT II certification
- Knowledge of industry health and safety procedures
- Commitment to working safely at all times
- Ability to prepare accurate daily reports including description of work done and conclusions
- Ability to professionally interface with customers to address issues and solve problems
- Comfort working outdoors in a construction site environment, including at heights and in inclement weather
- Ability to lift/carry 50 pounds frequently
- Mobility such as reaching, kneeling/crawling, bending/crouching
- Endurance such as sitting, standing, walking, climbing, or driving
Desired Qualifications
- MT II certification
- PTII certification
- PAUT certification
- AMP I or II certification
- Experience/certifications in reinforced concrete
- Experience/certifications in structural welding and bolting
- Experience/certifications in other Special Inspection categories
