Job Summary
Conduct fabrication shop inspections and perform testing in accordance with approved procedures following applicable codes and standards across various US locations, including Boise, ID. Prepare accurate daily reports detailing work done and conclusions while professionally interfacing with customers to address issues and solve problems. Perform thermite welds in track, moment connections in structural steel buildings, and other NDT tasks, including working outdoors at heights and in inclement weather with frequent lifting of 50 pounds. Requires CWI and UT II certifications; on-call availability for additional projects throughout the US.
Required Qualifications
- CWI certification
- UT II certification
- Knowledge of industry health and safety procedures
- Commitment to working safely at all times
- Ability to prepare accurate daily reports including description of work done and conclusions
- Ability to professionally interface with customers to address issues and solve problems
- Comfort working outdoors in a construction site environment, including at heights and in inclement weather
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds frequently
- Mobility for reaching, kneeling/crawling, bending/crouching
- Endurance for sitting, standing, walking, climbing, or driving
Desired Qualifications
- MT II certification
- PTII certification
- PAUT certification
- AMP I or II certification
- Experience or certification in reinforced concrete
- Experience or certification in structural welding
- Experience or certification in bolting
- Experience or certification in other Special Inspection categories
