Job Summary
Conduct daily quality inspections of excavations, concrete, rebar, welding, piping, and valves to verify conformance with specifications and construction codes. Perform pre-construction quality control inspections, detect deficiencies, and establish punch lists while working closely with field operating teams to prevent issues. Generate daily and weekly reports, maintain complete inspection records, and document all activities per the Quality Inspection Test Plan. Interface with the Client and field quality staff as the field representative to ensure adherence to QA/QC requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent (GED)
- 3-5 years' experience in the Construction Trades
- Inspection related certifications
- CWI
- CPWI
- Self-starter
- Organized
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to use inspection tools (example: Gal-Gauge, Pick Gauge, Hi-Lo gauge, Filler Gauge, and so-forth)
- Ability to read/interpret ISO
- Ability to read/interpret P&ID's
- Ability to Red-Line ISO
- Ability to analyze engineering drawings
- Ability to interpret technical procedures
- Required exposure to civil activities
- Required exposure to electrical activities
- Required exposure to mechanical activities
- Required exposure to pipeline/oil/gas activities
- Required exposure to industrial activities
- Required exposure to welding activities
- Ability to independently perform work such as Piping system walkdown
- Ability to independently perform structural walkdown
- Ability to independently perform Civil inspections
- Ability to write daily reports
- Ability to document project activities
- Ability to effectively collect and record field data
- Ability to ensure the effective implementation of the quality control program
- Ability to solve problems individually
- Ability to solve problems in a team setting
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to walk the property
- Ability to lay down yards
- Ability to carry up to 50 pounds
