Job Summary
Fabricate and repair heavy mining equipment including D6-D11 dozers, haul trucks, graders, and shovels, performing tasks such as ice lugging, crack frame repairs, dump body rebuilds, handrails, and gouging. Weld up to 30 inches per day when material is available, adhering to company policies and procedures. This CWB Mine Welder Journeyperson role requires a 12-hour rotating shift (14 days on, 14 days off) with camp accommodation at Wapasu, featuring hot meals and lodging. Charter flights are provided from Calgary or Edmonton. Required Qualifications
- Journeyperson Certificate of Completion in the Welding Trade
- CWB FCAW - All Positions
- CSO
- Fall Protection
- Elevated Work Platform
- Basic Rigging - In Person
- Overhead Crane
- Forklift
- First Aid - Level A or C
- Valid Driver's License
- Satisfactory Drug and Alcohol Test
- Mask Fit Test

- Experience in areas such as ice lugging, crack frame repairs, dump body repairs and rebuilds, handrails, fabrication, and gouging
- Overhead Crane Ticket
