CWB Level 2 QC Inspector (Nightshift) - Fall 2026 Turnaround

Job Summary

Conduct quality control inspections for piping fabrication, installation, and repair during shutdown/turnaround operations. Inspect welding operations per CSA W47.1, ASME Codes, and approved WPS/WPQ while verifying material traceability and heat numbers. Review isometrics, P&IDs, and weld maps to perform fit-up, visual, and acceptance inspections. Monitor activities including cutting, beveling, PWHT coordination, and surface preparation. Identify non-conformances, issue NCRs, and track corrective actions. Maintain accurate daily reports, weld logs, and QC documentation. Coordinate with welders, supervisors, engineers, and NDT technicians to support fast-paced schedules while enforcing site safety policies.

Required Qualifications

  • CWB Level 2 Welding Inspector Certification
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, piping isometrics, weld maps, and fabrication drawings
  • Working knowledge of ASME B31 piping codes and industrial construction standards
  • Strong communication, reporting, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced shutdown environment
