Job Summary
HR Operations & Onboarding Specialist providing comprehensive HR generalist support with emphasis on onboarding, compliance, and cross-functional coordination. Manages pre-employment/onboarding workflows, DOT/FMCSA drug & alcohol programs, HR policy alignment, employee data integrity, and recruiting coordination. Partners with HR and Recruiting to support high-volume hiring, onboarding metrics, and relocation coordination for domestic and international moves. Maintains compliance with federal/state laws, customer-specific requirements, audits, and continuous process improvement; delivers new hire orientation, training materials, and liaises with IT for system access and equipment. Requires strong knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, payroll inputs, UKG experience, and ability to handle confidential information; strong communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Relocation coordination and safety considerations may be involved; role operates in a professional office environment with standard office equipment and potential travel to branches or plants.
Required Qualifications
- SHRM-CP/PHR or similar certification preferred (or progress toward certification)
- 5+ years of HR experience in generalist, onboarding, or HR operations roles
- Experience supporting a distributed workforce (branch and corporate teams) is beneficial
