Job Summary
CVT in the UF Health Leesburg Cath Lab monitors diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization procedures, serves as a scrub assistant, and supports safe patient care. The role operates 7am-7pm with three 12-hour shifts plus on-call (roughly one night per week and about one weekend per month), with reporting within 30 minutes. The position is based in Tampa, FL and requires an Associate’s Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy, or five years of experience with RCIS or RCES certification within 12 months of hire, plus BLS and ACLS; ARRT certification is preferred and various state licenses may apply. Responsibilities include monitoring procedures and collaborating with the director/charge for complex interventional and electrophysiology cases.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy
- Minimum of five years’ experience OR RCIS Certification (Required within 12 months of hire) OR RCES Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)
- ARRT Certification (preferred) OR FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license OR FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license OR RCIS Certification OR RCES Certification (within 12 months of hire if no degree)
- BLS required
- ACLS required
