Job Summary
Conduct expert perioperative patient care as a scrub assistant to physicians performing open heart, vascular, endovascular, heart and lung transplants, thoracic surgery, and advanced cardiac robotic cases. Verify functioning supplies and instruments prior to procedures, maintain aseptic technique, and ensure safe care adherence to policies and standards. Mentor less experienced staff through preceptorship, in-service training, and skills competency development while managing time and supply resources within budgetary specifications. Openings available at Memorial Hermann Memorial City, Texas Medical Center, Northeast, and The Woodlands locations with flexible scheduling options.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program
- Certified in Basic Life Support
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
- Relocate with ease
