Job Summary
Study and memorize specific veterinary scenarios and facts to role-play as an animal owner during three weekly rounds from September through December. Work cooperatively in a team setting while receiving and providing constructive feedback to help veterinary students practice professional communication skills. Wear character-appropriate attire and commit to punctuality, with time blocks of up to four hours per day and transportation to the USU Veterinary Medical Education Building required.
Required Qualifications
- Willingness to be audio and video recorded for educational purposes
- Some basic knowledge of animals (Dog, Cat, Equine, Farm etc.)
- Ability to commit to the time needed to fulfill the job duties
- Transportation to/from the USU Veterinary Medical Education Building
- Availability to participate in time blocks of up to 4 hours at a time
- Preparedness, punctuality, and presence for all appointments as determined/agreed on by the coordinator
- Willingness to study and memorize specific scenarios & the facts within
- Willingness to work cooperatively in a team setting
- Willingness to be punctual and dependable
- Willingness to give constructive feedback
- Willingness to receive constructive feedback & develop skills as a simulated client
- Willingness to wear character appropriate attire in order to embrace the role as an animal owner
