Job Summary
Conduct critical care nursing in the CVICU, managing patient ratios of 2/1 or 1/1 while titrating vesicant medications, administering pressors, and overseeing sedation, paralytics, and ventilator care. Perform procedures including chest tube insertions, central line placements, cardioversion, and EGDs, with familiarity required for TEE, IABP, and Impella support. Work night shifts (6:45 PM–7:15 AM) on alternating weekends, adhering to a 12-hour shift schedule with three shifts weekly. Maintain NC licensure and hold CCRN, ACLS, and BLS certifications. This auto-offer assignment requires a driver's license and a recent charge/lead reference, with a 10-day maximum time off allowance.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience with 9 months worked in the last 12 months
- 9 months of acute care experience within the last 12 months
- North Carolina license or compact license
- Travel only, local not allowed
- Candidates must live >50 miles from facility
- No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - HCA - North Carolina Division
