CV Surveillance Officer - Buildings

Job Summary
Monitor construction activities and specific surveillance requirements for building-related works supporting tunnel operations; maintain and file detailed surveillance records (including photographic evidence), verify NCR dispositions on site, and ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance. Liaise with Builder’s site representatives, identify and resolve non-conformances, attend Hold Points and Witness Points, and support the CV Construction Lead and CV Engineers with delivering high-quality infrastructure projects in major tunnel environments. Requires a trade or technical qualification in construction, 10+ years of relevant experience in building construction structures for road/tunnelling/infrastructure, and strong reading of technical drawings and specifications along with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Required Qualifications
- Trade or technical qualification in a relevant construction discipline
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in building construction structures within road, tunnelling, or major infrastructure projects
- Experience with industrial or commercial building construction
- Experience in South Australia and/or tunnel projects
- Strong understanding of construction quality, compliance, and surveillance practices
- Experience working with hold points, inspections, and NCR processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality outcomes
