CV Surgical Technologist

Surgical Technologist at Monument Health Rapid City Hospital providing patient-focused care as part of the surgery team. Responsible for preparing the Operating Room, arranging instruments, supplies and equipment, maintaining asepsis and the sterile field, assisting the surgeon by anticipating needs, managing patient transfer and positioning, and ensuring infection control and efficiency between cases. Requires collaboration with the surgical team, adherence to OR policies (counts and instrumentation), and ongoing personal education and development. Education must include completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program or Military Surgical Technology Training; certifications include BLS and NBSTSA CST, with ongoing opportunities for growth and advancement.
