Job Summary
Precept new staff and students while mastering hemodynamics concepts and x-ray equipment troubleshooting. Assist with circulating roles, procedural charging, and supply management, acting quickly during emergencies to discuss physician plans for high-risk procedures. Monitor cases, manage access sites, and adhere to sterile techniques and radiation safety protocols. Support complex PCI, CTO, and structural heart cases by using specialty devices and troubleshooting emergency equipment like balloon pumps. Assist in scrub roles for cardiac ablations, device implants, and generator changes, collaborating with biomedical engineers for imaging service. Cross-train as needed to support departmental demands.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed AEMT
- National Registered Paramedic (NRP)
- graduate of accredited school of radiologic technology
- accredited school of cardiovascular technology
- academic program in health sciences
- Must become registered as an ARRT with post primary category of cardiac interventional radiography or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RCES obtained within 12 months of hire or promotion
