Job Summary
Operate diagnostic imaging equipment and perform procedures in accordance with department policy, positioning patients for optimal images while ensuring their comfort. Collaborate with physicians to execute specialized and interventional procedures, obtaining necessary patient information and practicing sterile technique to prevent contamination. Provide radiation protection to patients and staff using appropriate PPE and guidelines. Recognize emergent situations and activate assistance as needed, while assisting other department areas. Cover call shifts as required.
Required Qualifications
- Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training
- Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Licensed with the Indiana State Board of Health
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum 2 years experience in Interventional procedures and or cardiac cath lab experience
- Knowledge of imaging the various anatomical structures
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
- Must be able to lift 150 lbs. shared lifting
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications
- Must be able to take call
- Must be able to cover call, if applicable
