Job Summary
The Cardiovascular Sonographer role performs advanced ultrasound imaging to diagnose and monitor cardiovascular conditions. Responsibilities include operating ultrasound equipment, producing high-quality diagnostic images, and collaborating with patients and healthcare professionals to deliver optimal care. Requires ARDMS/CCI certification (RVT/RDCS or RVS/RCS) or registry eligibility with registry within 6 months, and BLS; state licensure may be required depending on practice location. Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours OR received on the job training by a Preceptor who is registered in Cardiac ultrasound.
- Experience: No experience required
- Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
- Certification: ARDMS (RVT) or CCI(RVS) or ARRT(RVS) AND ARDMS(RDCS) or CCI(RCS) or registry eligible (must obtain registry within 6 months of eligibility); Basic Life Support (BLS)
