Job Summary
CV Radiologic Technologist in Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) and Interventional Radiology performing radiographic procedures, maintaining radiologic safety per ALARA, operating specialized cath lab equipment (ISTAT, AVOXimeter, Hemochron), assisting physicians, scheduling cases, managing supply inventory, participating in on-call, and ensuring patient care quality in Mercy Cedar Rapids. Requires radiography proficiency, ARRT certification, Iowa licensure, BLS/ACLS within 6 months, mandatory reporter training, sedation and EKG competency, and consent to on-call duties; sign-on bonus available up to $30,000.
Required Qualifications
- Iowa Permit to Practice required
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology required
- cardiovascular technologist certification preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire
- Iowa Dependent Adult Abuse and Iowa Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter training required
- Education sufficient to obtain required licensure/certifications
- Must obtain and maintain sedation and EKG competency annually
- Must take Medication Administration test at time of hire/transfer
- Experience in cardiovascular or interventional radiology preferred
- One year experience in diagnostic imaging preferred
