Job Summary
Provide technical support during cardiac, electrophysiology, and structural heart procedures while maintaining sterile conditions and operating imaging equipment. Assist physicians in radiological imaging and monitor procedure images in the control room, ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation via Epic and MacLab. Educate patients and families regarding pre- and post-procedure expectations and maintain unit cleanliness and appropriate stock levels for complex interventions. Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives to identify process improvements and hazards. Perform other duties as assigned within a collaborative culture of 3-person teams.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Registered ARRT
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist RCIS within 18 months of hire
- Registered Respiratory Therapist with CV specific certification or RCIS or RCES within 18 months of hire
- Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP)
- Current ACLS
- Surgery Technician License in the State of Colorado within 3 months from hire date
- Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts
- Ability to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
- Ability to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Ability to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Ability to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment including heavy items
- Ability to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Ability to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree
- Two (2) years of experience in Cardiology/Cath Lab
