Job Summary
Operate the guillotine cutter to determine cut size/quantity, input cutting positions via computer, load/unload sheets, align material, and initiate cutting using machine controls. Inspect finished material for imperfections and adjust the program as needed. Change knives, lubricate equipment per manufacturer specifications, and record job information on tags and time sheets. Must be able to perform basic math, follow written/verbal instructions, read job jackets and imposition sheets, and direct crew members. Training may last up to three months as you transition to the B Shift. Requires regular physical activity including lifting up to 25 pounds and standing/walking, with color and depth perception, and the ability to work under deadline pressure.
