Job Summary
Operate cutter grinding machines to sharpen and recondition cutting tools (end mills, drills, reamers, and inserts) according to specifications and work orders. Set up grinding machines with appropriate grinding wheels and settings; interpret tooling specifications and tolerances; inspect tools using micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators; adjust parameters for desired geometry and surface finish; perform routine machine maintenance; collaborate with engineers and production personnel to address tooling issues; document grinding parameters, tool measurements, and inspection results; adhere to safety protocols and maintain an organized workspace.
