CUT OFF SAW OPERATOR

Set up, operate, and maintain wood sawing machines, including circular saws, band saws, and ripsaws. Adjust blades using wrenches or hand wheels, mount attachments to shafts, and clear jams to ensure proper operation. Inspect logs and work pieces for imperfections, measure dimensions with rulers and calipers, and mark cutting lines. Select appropriate saw blades and cutting procedures based on work orders or supervisor instructions. Monitor machine gauges, adjust speed and tension, and guide work pieces through automatic feeding devices. Physical demands include lifting over 70 lbs. The work environment involves exposure to dust and loud noise for prolonged periods.
