Job Summary
Review, audit, classify, and manage the automated system of parts and products globally while building accurate communication flows between internal and external customers. Support daily trade compliance operations by clearing shipments, providing compliance instructions to customs brokers, and contributing to initiatives for trade facilitation and regulatory adherence. Educate internal groups on the tariff classification system, guide the community on accessing data and running reports, and assist with departmental projects including FTZ, CTPAT, protests, and broker audits. Apply strong HTS classification skills and quantitative analysis to resolve complex issues with business divisions, suppliers, and U.S. CBP.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years classifying in accordance with the Harmonized Tariff Schedule
- Strong HTS classification and analytical skills
- Adept in quantitative (statistical) analysis
- Proficient in analyzing regulations
- Experience with analyzing and interpreting data
- Experience with operational improvement
- Knowledge of US Customs programs – including CFR, Customs' Classification, Importer Self-Assessment (ISA), FTZs, Protests, Antidumping and Countervailing duty orders, and PGAs (e.g. FDA, EPA) requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledgeable with computer software (Excel, Filemaker Pro, Word, SAP, etc.)
- Experience managing Trade Compliance Systems Automation Projects
- Strong skills in SAP

- Ability to resolve/research complex and routine issues with business divisions, suppliers, brokers and U.S. CBP

- Broker's License
- BA/BS degree
