Job Summary
Manage and update company records to ensure customs documents are stored accurately per US Customs regulations. Determine and follow CFS and CTPAT regulatory requirements while overseeing entry auditing and reporting improvement recommendations. Ensure all controls, policies, procedures, and applications are understood by the team and implemented accordingly. Complete internal audits as per client requirements and perform due diligence checks on new customers when needed. Assist in implementing new legislations and provide ongoing training on changing trade compliance policies through seminars and conferences. Manage the company's interface with customs authorities to maintain highest compliance levels across all staff and teams.
Required Qualifications
- An excellent knowledge of export and import controls
- Previous experience in working alongside US Customs
Desired Qualifications
- Excellent understanding of Compliance and Customs regulations specifically related to Bonded Warehouses, CFS, PTT's, CTPAT, etc.
- Previous exposure to the development of business policies and process governance
- Adept with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
