Job Summary
Lead US/CA customs compliance strategy by operationalizing the Wabtec Customs Compliance Enterprise Standard, enforcing policies, and driving program disciplines to ensure highest regulatory adherence. Manage Customs Broker and Managed Trade Service provider oversight while resolving trade compliance issues and responding to government inquiries. Conduct compliance training, lead metric reporting, and coach direct reports to abate operational risks. Liaise with global stakeholders and business units to communicate regulatory changes and support customer projects. Requires 9+ years of industry experience, a Bachelor's degree, and Licensed Customs Broker certification. Salary range $104,800–$149,300.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's (higher education) Degree
- 9+ years of industry customs compliance experience
- people leader experience
- Licensed Customs Broker or appropriate in-country equivalent certification
- Deep knowledge of local customs, trade, and other regulatory agency requirements that relate to import and export activities with a focus on US and CA
- Self-Directed
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to influence others and work cross-functionally to drive results in a highly matrixed organization
- Strong problem-solving and process-focused background that reflects accomplishments in teamwork, integrity, and attention to detail and accuracy

- Travel as needed, which could include some global travel
