Job Summary
Customs Compliance Manager to lead the company-wide U.S. Import Compliance Program, overseeing daily import operations, classification and admissibility determinations, and interactions with U.S. Customs and other agencies. Role includes developing and deploying compliance practices, conducting audits of import PO activity, managing entries and discrepancies, supervising regulatory reporting, and guiding tariffs and changing trade environments. Requires bachelor’s in business or related field, 7-10 years in international logistics/trade regulations with emphasis on imports and U.S. Customs, and a U.S. Customs broker license; master’s preferred. Located in Chesapeake, VA with on-site responsibilities; strong communication and PC skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- Master’s degree, preferred
- U.S. Customs broker license, required
- 7-10 years of experience in international logistics and trade regulations with emphasis on imports and U.S. Customs regulations and procedures
- Strong English written and verbal skills
- Excellent PC skills
