Job Summary
The Customs Operations Manager oversees import/compliance activities to ensure adherence to CBP and other agency requirements. Responsibilities include managing entry processing, duty payments, FTZ and consumption entries, ISF submissions, audits of customs entries, and coordination with Partner Government Agencies. The role uses CargoWise and ACE Portal for monitoring, and requires strong knowledge of tariff classifications and regulatory changes. It is a hybrid role located near Arlington Heights, IL, with 3 days in office.
Required Qualifications
- Active Licensed Customs Broker required
- High school diploma/GED required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 5 years’ experience with customs compliance, brokerage operations, and FTZ & consumption entries
- Familiarity with ISF filing process and requirements
- Proficient in CargoWise, ACE Portal, and MS Office; including Excel and Access
- Working knowledge of provisional tariffs, Section 232 tariffs, reciprocal tariffs, and exclusions
- Knowledge of import entry process with CBP and Partner Government Agencies
- Detailed oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Self starter with proactive, detail driven approach to tasks, while maintaining focus on accuracy
