Job Summary
Customs Clearance Specialist responsible for managing customs documentation, coordinating entry filings with brokers, and ensuring compliance with CBP rules and regulations. This in-office role is based in Manteno, IL, and involves coordinating import entry filings, reviewing documentation, monitoring entry status, determining HTS Classification and country of origin, supporting FTZ admissions/withdrawals, and collaborating with supply chain, procurement, finance, and operations teams.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in trade compliance
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- LCB or CCS preferred
- In depth understanding of import entry process, documentation and audit
- Solid experience with HTS Classification, Country of Origin, Valuation, FTAs
- Experience supporting manufacturing, high-volume imports, or FTZ operations preferred
- Knowledge of CBP & PGA regulations, import documentation requirements
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and ability to manage multiple priorities
