Customs Brokerage Specialist

Job Summary
Customs Brokerage Specialist responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting customs documentation for import and export shipments; ensuring compliance with Malaysian regulations; classifying goods with HS codes and determining duties and exemptions; liaising with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs officers for shipment clearance; staying updated on regulations; coordinating with forwarders and agents; monitoring shipment status; maintaining records; advising clients on regulations and duty optimization; supporting audits and adherence to SOPs and compliant practices; performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in customs brokerage, freight forwarding, or logistics
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian customs procedures and tariff classification
- Good understanding of Incoterms and international trade practices
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Strong understanding of import/export processes, customs regulations, and documentation requirements
- Knowledge of customs declaration procedures and freight forwarding operations
