Job Summary
Customs Brokerage Specialist II role involving reviewing import documentation, troubleshooting discrepancies, applying HTS tariff codes, and preparing customs entries via GBS-CM. You will audit commercial documents, ensure regulatory compliance, and communicate with customers, carriers, and international partners to move shipments efficiently. After 6 weeks of onsite training, the position transitions to an evening remote role. Must live within commuting distance to the UPS facility in Louisville, KY. The role requires weekend/holiday rotation as needed and offers potential for advancement within international trade and customs compliance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
- Basic understanding of U.S. customs operations, regulations, and government agencies
- Familiarity with HTS codes or tariff classification (preferred but not required)
- Strong computer skills and comfort with data entry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve documentation issues
- 6 weeks onsite training (required)
