Job Summary
Customs Brokerage Manager oversees the importation process for air and ocean shipments, ensuring CBP and regulatory compliance, while managing client accounts and supervising a small team of entry writers. The role is hybrid and based near Savannah, GA, with relocation assistance. Responsibilities include overseeing the customs clearance process for multiple clients, mentoring and training the team, ensuring regulatory compliance (CBP and applicable PGAs), liaising with government agencies, managing classification, entry audits, and post-entry processes, acting as the main client contact for complex entry issues, driving process improvements, maintaining KPIs, staying current on regulatory changes, and overseeing client invoicing and department profits/expenses. Requires a Customs Broker license, 5+ years of experience in customs brokerage, expert knowledge of HTS/COO/FTA/AD/CVD, strong leadership, and experience with Descartes OneView or similar software.
Required Qualifications
- License Customs Broker required
- 5+ years of experience in customs brokerage and import/export operations
- Expert knowledge of import/export regulations; HTS, COO, Valuation, FTA, AD/CVD, etc.
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent people leader, supporting continual growth and education
- Experience with Descartes OneView or similar import software
