Job Summary
The Customer Support Specialist is the first point of contact for Arapahoe County citizens requesting assistance from the Treasurer’s Office and performs a variety of administrative duties to support efficient office operations. Responsibilities include assisting walk-in customers and handling phone inquiries, conducting research, and directing inquiries to appropriate personnel; processing tax payments, generating and forwarding property tax statements and receipts, and archiving files; making delinquency collection calls, informing taxpayers of the collection process, establishing payment plans, and monitoring activity; calculating pre-collection tax amounts and assisting with the Senior/Military Deferral Program. Requires strong customer service, confidentiality, and organizational skills, with intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook; ability to learn new systems and processes quickly; English–Spanish bilingual proficiency preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school or GED equivalent.
