Customer Success Manager (D&I - India)

Job Summary
Customer Success Manager for India focused on managing and expanding relationships with strategic military and governmental agencies. Serve as main point of contact during contract life cycle, drive customer value, retention, and satisfaction, and help customers maximize Planet’s imagery and geospatial solutions within their workflows (e.g., border security, disaster response, urban planning). Lead renewal and identify growth opportunities, advocate for new use cases, and collaborate with Product, Sales, and Engineering to influence roadmap based on regional requirements. Requires 6+ years working with Indian Armed Forces and/or Central Government, GIS proficiency, ability to navigate interagency structures, strong negotiation and presentation skills, remote-work capability in India, travel readiness, and fluency in English and Hindi.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- 6+ years of experience working directly with the Indian Armed Forces and/or Central Government agencies
- Solid grasp of GIS, remote sensing, or satellite imagery applications
- Ability to build connections across ministries and maintain relationships with high-ranking officials and technical end-users
- Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills with ability to translate complex technical capabilities into strategic mission outcomes
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining engagement with a global team
- Excellent verbal and written communication in Hindi and professional working proficiency in English
- Willingness to travel
