Job Summary
Provide friendly, professional assistance to customers by phone and in person, responding to questions about District services, retail billing, and account updates. Assist with customer transactions, research routine billing and water service concerns, and use District software systems to support account activities. Welcome and assist visitors, vendors, and Board members, then connect them with appropriate staff or services. Process and maintain accurate records for payments, cash transactions, and deposits while managing scheduling, correspondence, data entry, and mail deliveries. Identify issues requiring escalation and communicate with District staff to ensure requests are handled accurately and promptly.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to provide courteous and professional service to customers and the public
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and by telephone
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and interruptions while maintaining accuracy
- Basic computer, keyboarding, and math skills
Desired Qualifications
- One year of similar experience
- Ability and willingness to learn specialized customer service and utility billing software
