Job Summary
Lead store operations as Manager on Duty, ensuring safe work practices, facility cleanliness, and proper cash drawer balances. Supervise employees and volunteers, resolve customer concerns, and maintain donation round-up targets. Monitor cash registers, transmit reports, and ensure all equipment functions correctly. Perform various team member roles including cashiering, donation door coverage, and merchandise production as staffing needs arise. Maintain security of company assets and assist with employee meetings. Work nights, weekends, and holidays in a retail environment requiring physical movement and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one year retail experience
- At least six months supervisory experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to read and understand documents such as time cards and policy manuals
- Ability to write routine reports
- Ability to speak effectively and communicate clearly to other employees and customers
- Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and sales volume
- Able to apply basic financial and budgeting concepts
- Must be able to travel for work-related programs and meetings
- Must be able to move stock
- Must be able to climb or balance on step-ladders
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to bend and turn to evaluate donations
- Must be able to tag merchandise which requires use of at least one hand
- Must have open and flexible availability
- Must be willing to work evenings and weekends
- Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays
