Job Summary
Lead the day-to-day operations of the service department by greeting customers, verifying vehicle information, and writing detailed repair orders while ensuring repairs align with warranty guidelines. Prioritize workflow, resolve customer escalations, and coach team members on company procedures and performance standards. Partner with technicians to diagnose issues and maintain organized work areas, taking ownership of difficult situations and driving department efficiency. Requires 2+ years of automotive service experience, CDK proficiency, and a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with CDK (Dealer Management System)
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass a background check
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to use Multi-Factor Authentication apps on a cell phone
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds independently
- Must be able to carry and transport up to 25 pounds up to 60 feet
- Requires excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity
- Must be able to type for extended periods
- Must be able to hear and communicate with others in person and by phone
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of Automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, or similar automotive service experience
- Previous team lead, supervisory, mentoring, or leadership experience
- Strong working knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance
- Proven ability to manage multiple repair orders and competing priorities
- Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to coach, support, and hold team members accountable
- Comfortable making decisions and solving problems in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
