Job Summary
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries regarding order status, pricing, lead times, product availability, and specifications. Enter, review, and process customer orders accurately within the ERP system, coordinate with production and shipping to meet delivery commitments, and resolve discrepancies, returns, and shipping issues. Source, evaluate, and procure raw materials, components, and maintenance supplies; prepare purchase orders, monitor open orders, and follow up on overdue deliveries to minimize production disruptions. Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, work-in-progress, and finished goods; coordinate cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and prepare reports on excess or slow-moving inventory. Collaborate cross-functionally with production, warehouse, shipping, quality, accounting, and sales to ensure operational efficiency and continuous improvement. Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company procedures and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in customer service, purchasing, inventory control, or supply chain functions within a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
- Experience working with ERP or inventory management systems (such as SAP, Syteline, or similar)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Knowledge of purchasing processes, inventory control principles, and manufacturing operations preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build positive working relationships
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve operational issues
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple departments
- Experience working with technical product data or engineering documentation
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
- Demonstrated proficiency using ERP systems and standard office software
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field preferred
