Job Summary
The Customer Service Specialist for Retail acts as the primary liaison for retail customers, handling order processing, EDI/portal management, and cross-functional coordination between Sales, Production, and Warehouse teams. Responsibilities include responding to customer inquiries about orders, delivery timing, and product availability; processing orders accurately through internal systems; managing customer portals and order uploads; monitoring order flow to align with production/fulfillment; resolving order discrepancies; maintaining accurate records; and supporting continuous improvements to order processing workflows. The role requires 2+ years in customer service or sales support, experience with EDI/customer portals, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The position is based in Hanover, MD, and requires in-person work with standard business hours Monday–Friday, plus flexibility to support order flow and customer needs. Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in customer service, order entry, or sales support (food industry a plus)
- Experience with EDI systems, order management platforms, or customer portals preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
