Job Summary
Process customer transactions, participate in suggestive selling, and resolve complaints while maintaining friendly and outgoing interactions. Clean store interiors and exteriors, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing restrooms, while stocking shelves and managing displays. Safeguard cash by following control procedures and completing shift reports, and prepare food while monitoring safe temperatures and waste. Operate food equipment and follow fuel dispensing safety guidelines. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays, tolerating exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or, an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Driver's License and/or consistent transportation to work
- Able to carry, push/pull, reach and lift up to 50 pounds alone
- Able to work alone and/or with others
- Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Able to enter and work in freezer and coolers at temperature of 10 degrees up to 30 minutes at a time
- Able to tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products
- Able to read, write, hear, clearly speak and understand the English language
- Able to perform basic math calculations to make correct change to customer and accurately complete shift reports
- Good accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to multi-task
- Friendly and outgoing; willing to help customers and resolve complaints
- Is dependable and punctual
- Previous experience in retail environment
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a retail setting

- Previous experience in retail environment preferred
- Able to communicate effectively with customers, employees, vendors and management
- SERV Safe® or Prometric/NEHA Certification – Preferred
